Lame Brain

Standard

I’ve only half-heartedly participated this month.  I can’t say I’m any smarter than I was August 1st and I’m okay with that.  I didn’t pick a measurable goal this month (yes, that’s the speech pathologist in me talking…).  It would have been more successful if I would have chosen a specific part of intelligence (i.e. memory, attention) or a specific action (i.e. do a new thing each day, play a specific game each day, etc.).  Lesson learned.  Hey, maybe I am smarter?

Anyways, I thought I’d close with a few brainy websites I’ve come across:

http://www.lumosity.com
http://www.testmybrain.org
http://www.freerice.org
http://www.brainconnection.positscience.com

This is a short list- if you have additional website ideas, enlighten me!

Cooking & Baking Through March

Standard

We eat out a lot. We spend too much money on our food. We eat food that isn’t good for us and frankly, doesn’t taste that good either.
So, I’m dusting off the cookbooks (or rather, the great websites that are out there) and spending time in the kitchen.

What are your favorite cooking resources?
